reputation- a quality that is constantly banged and always at the mercy of external (temporary) factors
character- a quality that is constantly fashioned and at the mercy of internal (eternal) factors
the former is like the sand castle, the latter is like a rock kingdom
one is paperweight; one is granite strength
one gets deflated; one inflates
one is resilient; one is brittle
one is quiet; one subtle
one needs force; one needs power
one yields intrinsic abundance; one yields plenty things
one fights; one is a warrior
character always bounces back and humbly bows out of the need to prove its power.
